Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This site is operated by Irina Yashin, an Austrian-based operator ("we," "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have regarding it, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Contact for privacy questions
3. What we collect and why
Newsletter signups: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and process it via Beehiiv, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You are added to the list immediately and receive a welcome email with a link to our free starter guide. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Your data may be processed on servers located outside the EU by our email provider, under appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).
Guide purchases: If you purchase a digital guide, your payment is processed by Stripe on our behalf. Stripe collects and processes payment details directly — we do not store your card information. This processing is necessary to fulfill our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Amazon affiliate links: Some links on this site go to Amazon and contain an affiliate tracking tag. Once you click through, Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply — we have no access to what happens on Amazon's site.
Website hosting and basic logs: Our site is hosted via Lovable, which may automatically collect standard technical data (IP address, browser type, access times) for security and functionality, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Who we share data with
We only share your personal data with service providers who help us run the site and deliver our services:
- Stripe — our payment processor, for card processing, fraud prevention, invoicing and receipts.
- Beehiiv — for newsletter delivery and subscriber management.
- Lovable — for website hosting and infrastructure.
- Professional advisers and authorities — only where required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary for the site and newsletter signup to function. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies beyond what Amazon sets once you leave our site.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at kuba.germanshepherd@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (in Austria: the Datenschutzbehörde).
8. Data retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for — e.g., newsletter data until you unsubscribe, purchase data as required by tax and accounting law.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption, access controls and secure hosting — to protect your personal data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
